Behind the Scenes at the Scene Shop

Pacific Opera Victoria's scene and costume shop is an aural environment of contrasts. A heavy quiet — like the rooms are sound-proofed — hangs in the air. Scissors slice through delicate silk or a small bag of pins is rustled through when a bandsaw springs into action. Within seconds, it's almost silent again and the quiet sounds return to your ears. Darin spoke with some of the props masters and wardrobe for Monocle Radio 24’s Culture with Rob Bound.
